About the Job

Our Hydrogeology/HazWaste group is looking for an intern who is currently studying environmental engineering or geology. Our environmental engineers, hydrogeologists and other technical specialists help public agencies and private landowners assess potential contamination in air, soil and groundwater; design and implement remediation strategies; and evaluate groundwater supplies. You will be working with different project managers on a variety of projects, some of which may include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, groundwater sustainability plans and field sampling events. This position will be based in our Encinitas, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities may include:
  • Data entry and QA/QC
  • Report writing
  • Preparation of tables and figures for reports
  • Coordinating rental equipment and supplies for field work
  • Supporting field work efforts
  • Reviewing proposal leads

Minimum Requirements
  • Completed at least 2 years of college course work
  • Environmental engineering, geology or other natural resource-based curriculum/major track
  • Available at least 20 hrs per week.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Understanding of GIS
