Fine Art Lamps is seeking a candidate who will provide specialized knowledge and input on Environmental Health & Safety issues to support the Safety / Environmental Engineering department. The position will assist in the development and implementation of regulatory company-wide programs, trainings, and orientation. Coordinates training sessions, materials, and conducts multiple bilingual training sessions on diverse environmental and safety topics. Responsible for overseeing regulatory requirements/programs such as PPE, lockout-tag out, hearing/ respiratory conservation, hazardous waste communication, accident prevention and others. As well as the coordination and administration of the company's hazardous waste program and recordkeeping which includes disposal, cost monitoring, scheduling, inspection of waste storage areas, environmental compliance, and training of employees. Individual will be responsible for the research, identification and implementation of an environmental technical database to track all monthly /semi-annual emissions reporting and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used in the company. Familiarity with OSHA and Environmental Protection Agency's regulations is required. A minimum of (3) years experience as a Safety Specialist with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is required; the candidate must possess strong analytical and computer skills to include Excel, Access database, in addition to Microsoft Office Suite products. Individual must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization and external state / federal regulatory personnel. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required. The position will require the individual to frequently stand, walk and work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are humid and hot in the factories throughout the year; in addition to lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. The individual will follow all Company Safety and Health Policies and Procedures, as well as Corporate Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
