We are seeking to fill a role for our chemical plant client located in the Pasadena, Texas area for a Health, Safety and Environmental.

Our client is looking for an individual who comes out of CHEMICALS!

The purpose of this position is to provide front-line support to enhance compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Health, Safety and Security-related laws, regulations and industry standards regarding occupational safety and health in a chemical plant environment. Assist in creating a culture of safety excellence that strives for continuous improvement and elimination of unplanned incidents.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

* Support development and implementation of company annual HSE plans, goals, and strategies for improving safety performance.
* Develop and periodically review corporate HSE procedures, recommending necessary improvements.
* Develop and continually improve the company's policies, programs and procedures to promote compliance with applicable health and safety requirements under Federal, State and local laws, regulations and industry standards while implementing workplace efficiencies.

· Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable health and safety regulations and standards.

· Facilitate and support incident investigations, emergency response planning, employee training, industrial health, and contractor qualification efforts.

· Enhance communication with site personnel and other departments to ensure health and safety policies, plans and procedures are supported.

· Enhance relationships with outside entities, including governmental and non-governmental organizations that are part of the company's success in its EHS programs.

· Provide support in emergency activities, training, safe work permitting, monitoring and protective systems inspection, maintenance, replacement and upgrade.

· Understand the site's daily activities and anticipate needs of operating and maintenance personnel to ensure effective support by EHS.

· Assist in creating a culture of safety excellence that strives for continuous improvement and elimination of unplanned incidents.

· Provide Health and Safety support on off-hours as part of the EHS rotation.

· EHS responsibilities include: conducting inspections and audits related to the EHS program as assigned, participating in Hazard Reviews as needed, recommending safety improvements, completion of safety action items as assigned, completing required regulatory training, and compliance with all applicable regulations.


· At least ten years of plant Health and Safety experience with relevant industrial experience.

· Bachelors degree or higher in Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline is preferred. Will accept experience over a Bachelor degree.

· Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Salary $105K to $135K plus bonus and incredible benefits.
