The Global Product Marketing Manager - Microbiology is responsible for the Automation portfolio. They will be responsible for developing and executing a customer centric focused portfolio growth strategy. They will be responsible for product life cycle management and provide support for regional sales and marketing initiatives to drive global growth.
This position belongs to Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter and is located in West Sacramento, CA. This position can also be remote based.
At Microbiology as one of the world's leading ID/AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing team and report to the Sr Director, Marketing for Microbiology.

*Please note, this role will require a few days onsite week/month at our Sacramento site pending lifting of travel restrictions due to pandemic.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and execute a customer centric product line roadmap for Automation
- Deliver VOC and VOS to inform product requirements and commercialization plans
- Develop strong relationships with industry experts and customers
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to drive product strategy
- Utilize DBS and work in multi-functional teams to develop new products and support existing portfolio
- Act as a consultant and product expert to sales and regional downstream marketing
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Engineering, or Business, or a related field with 9+years of proven experience or a master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
- Work experience should include product development and product line management of instruments and software.
- Work experience should include business case development driven by market and customer analysis
- Ability to travel (domestic and internationally)
- Location flexible
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience in Microbiology (Clinical Diagnostics and Clinical Microbiology)
- Experience working in a Healthcare regulated Product Development and Sales environment, e.g., FDA, IVD
