This EHS Specialist will provide advice, direction, and guidance to facility personnel regarding various health, safety, and environmental processes and initiatives. It is imperative that this EHS Specialist demonstrates superb written and verbal communication skills, exceptional problem resolution and research skills, and excellent documentation and organizational skills. They will be responsible for leading EHS risk assessment efforts, managing comprehensive risk management processes, and performing EHS audits and assessments of facility activities. This EHS Specialist will coordinate various regulatory programs including hazard communication, respiratory protections, confined space, and forklift safety, in addition to noise dosimetry testing, ergonomic assessments, industrial hygiene sampling, and contractor EHS audits. They will lead investigations related to employee concerns, EHS incidents, and near misses. This EHS Specialist will also be required to perform root case analysis and implement corrective action plans as needed. Additional duties include maintaining the sites OSHA 300 logs and EHS metrics, leading the safety committee, and maintaining all necessary EHS documentation and improvements.

Required Qualifications:
2 + Years Experience in an Environmental Health and Safety field
Working knowledge of state and federal environmental requirements, EHS management systems, and occupational health and safety regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to utilize PPE while on facility grounds
Capable of meeting deadlines with a high sense of urgency
Ability to meet physical qualifications including standing, walking, bending, and talking for extended periods of time

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Certifications:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
OSHA 30-hour course
