We are looking for a well-rounded, passionate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional who will excel in a new role heading EHS for NVIDIA's Santa Clara and US offices. This position will provide leadership to our in-house and contractual EHS professionals and support and mentor our remote site team members with responsibilities for EHS compliance across NVIDIA's US offices. The role reports into our Global Environmental, Health and Safety Director, based in the US.

What you'll be doing:
  • Promote NVIDIA's EHS programs across the region, augmenting these with local policies and procedures where needed
  • Ensure NVIDIA meets all EHS regulatory and corporate compliance requirements in your region, both proactively and through an audit program under your leadership
  • Participate as a key player in our ISO 14001 program as well as contribute to NVIDIA's environmental initiatives and work place health and safety goal setting
  • Develop and execute innovative EHS strategies and solutions to support a variety of work styles across numerous workplace settings
  • Collaborate across NVIDIA to provide EHS expertise to business-critical programs and initiatives
  • Participate in the design of new laboratories or major revisions of existing facilities to assure proper EHS considerations are put in place
  • Conduct investigations of existing and potential safety and health hazards, make recommendations for remedial and corrective measures
  • Lead the regional ergonomics program and execute through the local team and external service providers
  • Work at a strategic level with strong listening and influencing skills while having the EHS technical expertise to advise and consult at all levels in the organization

What we need to see:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent experience). MS degree a plus
  • 10+ years of increasing responsibilities in environmental, health and safety programs and 5 years supervisory/management experience required
  • Background in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 or similar accredited EHS management systems
  • Experience leading change in multiple site environment and managing direct reports
  • Proactive, assertive, strong sense of urgency to problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
