Summary:

Prepare and analyze a variety of samples in the Natrol quality Microbiology Lab in compliance with cGMP and GLP requirements.

Judgment:

Be able to make clear and concise judgment and analyses on their work in a short period of time. Must work independently to complete the investigation process.

Communication and Interface:

Communicates in a clear and effective manner. Interacts professionally with fellow chemists and other Natrol personnel, including technicians and senior level of management.

Supervision

No employees report to this position. Position reports to the QC Supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform Microbiological testing pursuant to available qualified methods of analysis. Perform multiple task in the proper sequence to effectively reach desired goals and also comply with the requirements of the Laboratory and Quality Control. Perform Environmental Monitoring in the Microlab, and relevant Natrol Premises. Perform various Microbiological Test for Raw Materials, in Process, and Finish Goods by following the Standard Operations Procedures. Perform other task in the Quality Control Lab as delegated by the Supervisor. Must follow in house Safety Procedures. Develop new methods, Review and Revise Microlab SOP's. Start Investigation process for out of specification results (OOS).

Supplemental Responsibilities:

Must work with staff members to ensure that promised turn-around times on analyses are met. Must follow quality control practices and use good organization and housekeeping habits. Also train new, and current employees on Microlab procedures.

Requirements:

- Bachelors of Science in Microbiology required

-1-2 Years in a Micro Laboratory.

-Good verbal and written communication skills.

-Must Read, Write, speak, and understand the English Language.

-Must have a strong knowledge of Microlab techniques and applications.

-Must be goal-oriented and a team player
