Job Description: Celsion is seeking a highly motivated and creative Molecular Biologist with exceptional laboratory skills in DNA cloning, to support our DNA-based drug development in Huntsville, AL location. We are seeking candidates looking for a fast-paced, exciting working environment utilizing state of the art technology.

This position will:
  • Provide scientific guidance and technical expertise for biological assessment of DNA vaccine safety and efficacy to the cross-functional platform team
  • Strong expertise in Vector construction and DNA Cloning
  • Nucleic acids isolation from bacteria, mammalian cells and tissues
  • Gene expression evaluation using Transduction, Transfection, or Electroporation
  • Background in infectious diseases
  • Familiarity with microplate-based assays including ELISA or luciferase
  • Optimize in vitro assays for improved performance, capacity, turnaround time, and efficiency
  • Closely collaborate with members of the Pre-clinical team
  • Be Accountable for strategy, execution, interpretation, communication of results, and follow-up assessment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Virology, Microbiology, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience after PhD in industry and/or academy
  • Highly skilled in molecular biology
  • Experience developing and executing cellular screening assays
