About DCSA-Environment

With world class technical expertise, leading edge technology and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM's global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals - to achieve compliance, reduce or eliminate risks and manage impacts. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Review engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids
  • Review environmental regulations and compliance inspection reports, assist with environmental permitting and reporting
  • Assist with field work (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, stormwater sampling, site inspections)
  • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
  • Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and environmental regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings
  • Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis

Minimum Requirements
  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or other related Engineering field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Coursework or previous internship experience related to stormwater or other field work
