Environmental Scientist/ Environmental Specialist
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist/ Environmental Specialist for our Environmental Practice working out of our Foxborough, Massachusetts office. At this current time, the position would involve working remotely. In the future, the position will likely be a combination of remote and in-office work.
Roles and Responsibilities
POWER is seeking an Environmental Scientist/ Environmental Specialist for our growing Environmental Practice in New England primarily focused on power delivery and energy projects, including renewables. Applicants must have demonstrated technical proficiency in their field and be capable of working collaboratively with interdisciplinary project teams, interfacing with clients, as well as the capability to work independently. This position has a mixture of office and field duties including environmental licensing and permitting, attendance at agency meetings, wetland delineation, and construction inspection/monitoring. The successful candidate should have an established and successful history of environmental licensing and permitting in New England.
Required Education/Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with field biology/ecology, licensing and permitting in CT, RI and MA required
- Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) is a plus
- Wetland delineation experience preferred
- Experience with construction inspection preferred
- Able to handle multiple project assignments
- Able to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and professionalism
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
