A postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the Mayo Medical School - Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota) to study the functions and mechanisms of post-transcriptional regulations in stem cell biology.
The selected individual will utilize mouse embryonic stem cell culture systems in combination with genome-editing technologies, high throughput RNA sequencing, ribosome-profiling, CLIP-seq to study how mRNA binding proteins and noncoding RNAs control gene expression during embryonic stem cell self-renewal and differentiation.
Highly motivated individuals with a recent Ph.D. and a background in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, molecular genetics are encouraged to apply. Evidence of scientific publications is required and previous experience with either of the following are desirable: 1) mouse embryonic stem cells; 2) molecular biology; 3) RNA biology; 4) Bioinformatics.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.

- Proof of doctoral degree (copy of diploma or final transcript with English translation, if applicable) or a letter from your university's Registrar office indicating you have fulfilled all doctoral program requirements and are eligible to graduate.
