Job Description

Job Description:

The candidate for this role must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic start up environment.

The candidate will be responsible for applying analytical methods in the assessment of product quality, biological activity, detection of impurities and characterization.

The candidate will perform a variety of analytical laboratory testing and assure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.

The candidate must be able to interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and effective interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Experience with analytical testing of biologics would be an advantage.

Major Job Duties:

Operate a variety of treatment test equipment, such as HPLC, spectrophotometer, pH meter, filtration devices, hot plates, PCR instruments, balances, etc.

Conduct a variety of analytical lab tests in compliance with standard testing methods, procedures and regulations; implement quality control specifications; utilize a variety of methods to assure compliance to established standards and testing controls; interpret test results and prepare and submit reports related to test results.

Notify appropriate personnel of abnormal or critical results and significant changes in lab results. Troubleshoot, clean and maintain instruments, glassware and equipment; conduct preliminary diagnostic test on equipment; assure materials meet standards of cleanliness to assure accurate test results; assure an adequate supply of test materials to perform daily testing; perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Prepare periodic and special reports concerning quality control and results of laboratory tests; prepare analytical results reports to relay qualitative and quantitative data.

The candidate will also assist in materials management, ordering of supplies, shipping of samples, and other daily laboratory operations duties.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills: 0-3 years of experience in a GMP laboratory environment with a strong understanding of GMP concepts and requirements.

PCR, HPLC, UV- IR spectrometry and similar technology experience is highly desired.

Perform mathematical calculations applicable to chemistry testing.

Must work cooperatively with others and thrive in a team environment.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand fluent English.

Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while completing work in a timely manner.
