The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of cell and/or developmental biology research, applying state-of-the-art methods that include some combination of cutting-edge microscopy, live imaging, genetic, genomic, biochemical or computational approaches. Of particular interest are applicants who study fundamental processes in an animal context.
Teaching responsibilities may include commitment to the graduate and medical education missions of our Department.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing independent, federally funded research programs. Candidates must have evidence of publications and academic scholarship.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
