Our client, an established, stable, and growing company located in the Buffalo, NY area, is looking to hire an Environmental Health & Safety Consultant (EHS).
Responsibilities:
- Support clients to develop plans to help them improve their health and safety challenges
- EHS Program development and implementation
- Go on-site to clients to conduct workplace audits, surveys, and risk assessments
- Ensure environmental health and safety compliance with local, state, and Federal requirements
- Provide insight and consultations for corrective actions to promote a healthy and safe workplace
- Perform accident investigations, document events, and develop future corrective and preventative actions
- Train clients and employees in EHS measures
- Stay up to date on all EHS regulations, standards
- Provide the appropriate information to and keep clients updated on new EHS policies, regulations, guidelines & procedures
- Promote health & safety among companies, clients, and employees to ensure best practices
- Build and manage strong relationships with clients
- Other duties as assigned
Details:
- Position is full time, direct hire
- Standard work hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday thru Friday
- $55,000 - $65,000 annually depending on experience
- 2+ years' EHS experience
- Background in construction, industrial hygiene, manufacturing, or chemistry preferred
- Bachelor's Degree (EHS, Industrial Hygiene, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, NEC, Building Codes, and additional regulations/guidelines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to make sound decisions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good computer skills and reporting skills
- Willingness to attend external seminars and/or other educational trainings
- Relocation not available
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
