About Insmed:

Insmed is a growing global biopharmaceutical company powered by our purpose to deliver life-altering therapies to small patient populations experiencing big health problems. Our most valuable resource is our employees, and a patients-first mentality guides everything we do. Today, we are building a world-class team of talented individuals who are willing to challenge the status quo, solve problems, and work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency.

Come join us if you are ready to roll up your sleeves and be recognized for your efforts while working alongside team members who share your passion for serving patients and their families.

About the Role:

The title may be Senior Scientist or Scientist, depending on experience

The candidate will work within a dynamic and multidisciplinary team focused on the design, engineering, and preclinical analysis of innovative biotherapeutic agents. Specifically, this position will help lead ongoing development and application of our cutting-edge computationally-driven protein engineering platform, collaborating closely with experimental scientists to develop next-generation biologics.

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
  • Develop and apply algorithms to simultaneously optimize diverse properties characterizing protein sequence, structure, and function, in order to engineer potent biotherapeutics
  • Develop and apply machine learning models to predict effects of combinations of mutations on protein structure, function, and interactions, learning from both general data as well as protein target-specific data
  • Develop and apply methods to design portfolios of protein engineering experiments, exploring and exploiting the design space around a biotherapeutic target
  • Develop and apply methods to integrate diverse experimental data to close the loop between design and evaluation in computationally-directed evolution of a biotherapeutic target
