Job Description

About This Role

The Translational Analytics group is hiring a computational biologist with wet-lab experience. Our group focuses on identifying conserved pathways and genes between preclinical models ( in-vivo and in-vitro ) and human, as well as identifying novel targets based on human molecular data leveraging NGS. The candidate will be integrating multi-omics data and establishing computational frameworks. Along with the computational skills, the candidate will have experiences in in-vitro studies to carry out validation assays of the computational predictions, and to have experiences in NGS method development to establish novel profiling protocols.

What You'll Do
  • Establish computational framework to identify conserved pathways and genes between in-vivo, in-vitro models and human, using NGS data.
  • Identify novel therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases by integrative analysis of human molecular data- Genetics, Epigenetics, Transcriptomics, and Proteomics data.
  • Stratify patients using ‘omics data.

Experimental:
  • Develop experimental methods for cell-type specific RNA-seq and epigenetic profiling of postmortem tissues.
  • Design and execute perturbation experiments with in-vitro models for validation of targets and computational prediction.

Who You Are

You enjoy both computational biology and bench work. You are adept at delivering and presenting results to project teams that help establish therapeutic target strategy.
