The Senior Research Associate will help drive the research and development of Sarepta's RNA therapeutic platform and programs by participating in every aspect of in vivo studies. He/she will work in a team-based laboratory environment to perform in vivo and in vitro experiments to understand disease biology and efficacy of RNA therapeutics.Primary Responsibilities include:Manage core operational activities of the vivariumPerform IV/IP/SC or ICV injections in mice, animal health monitoring, and tissue collectionsAnalyze efficacy of RNA-based therapeutics in cell and animal modelsMaintain good written records of laboratory procedures and dataInteract and communicate with study leads and other scientistsSupport day-to-day laboratory tasksEducation and skills requirements: B.S. or M.S. degree in Biology or related field with 3-5 years of relevant laboratory research experience, or the equivalent experience obtained through working in a laboratory settingExtensive experience with all aspects of animal work including mouse handling, husbandry, injection, and tissue collectionStrong technical background and experience in molecular, cellular, and in vivo biology:Pharmacological testing by different modes of delivery, functional endpoint testing, tissue collection and preparation for various analysesGene expression analysis including RT-PCR, qPCR, ddPCRProtein analysis including western blot, ELISA, and immunohistochemistryPreferred experiences:Behavioral studiesTissue culture using transformed and primary mammalian cellsAssay development and high-throughput screeningOligonucleotide researchExcellent organization and communication skills and ability to collaborate effectivelyCandidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.Sarepta Therapeutics offers a competitive compensation and benefit package.Sarepta Therapeutics is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and participates in e-Verify.PDN-9358a313-e43d-4a71-a264-f91efbb4fc8a
