Duties SummaryThis position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Intelligence Training Academy, Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A).
The purpose of this position to serve as an intelligence training instructor developing and delivering intelligence training programs throughout the DHS intelligence enterprise (IE) and partner organizations.Responsibilities
As a Intelligence Operations Specialist GS 0132 13, your typical work assignments may include:
Providing advice and guidance on intelligence training related projects and programs.Ensuring the quality of the student learning experience to include preparation and delivery, managing classroom dynamics, utilizing Information Technology (IT) effectively, identifying and preparing training materials and supplies.Developing and delivering basic, intermediate, and advanced intelligence training programs and workforce professional development programs to meet customer and stakeholder requirements.Designing and implementing a system to directly assess student learning and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and courses, to ensure relevancy with respect to the agency mission.
This is a permanent appointment in the Excepted Service and will be filled on a full-time permanent basis. Employees hired under an Excepted Service appointment are required to serve a two (2) year trial period.This position is also being announced through competitive examining procedures under Announcement 11007915. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level (starting salary $103,690) if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as:
Developing and implementing best practices in a training and curriculum development and management of educational programs and comply with accreditation requirements.Understanding of current instructional design theories, educational technology, adult learning principles or a related field; training best practices and accreditation requirements.Coordinating the implementation of an information technology tools, to include the development of business requirements in a training environment.Applying quantitative and qualitative methods for the assessment and improvement of classroom and learning training programs and curriculum resources (e.g., needs analysis design/development, delivery, evaluation).Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade levelNOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet the requirements, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
