My biotech client is expanding and seeks a Scientist to lead projects and contribute in the lab. The ideal candidate will take on the following tasks:
* Support drug discovery and development efforts; design and conduct experiments and collect and analyze data
* Design and produce novel oligonucleotides; develop and perform biochemical and cell-based assays for target validation
* Present results of research for internal communications and external publications and patents
* Contribute to the R&D capabilities by implementing new technologies and platforms for drug discovery and development
* Use genomics-based tools for new target identification and validation
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
* PhD and ideally experience in cancer biology
* Experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques, including tissue culture, qPCR, DNA cloning, and cell-based assays
* Knowledge and experience in nucleic acid methods, chemistry, aptamer development and SELEX is desirable
* Previous experience in either image-based cellular assays, gene silencing or CRISPR techniques is a plus
* Demonstrated track record of high quality and timely data generation and exceptional communication skills
Title and compensation are commensurate with experience
