Texas Instruments (TI) is currently looking for and experienced Environmental Specialist to become a member of our team and help manage our environmental programs. Specific environmental programs include: waste management, pollution prevention, wastewater disposal, solid waste disposal, water pollution control, air pollution control, hazardous waste remediation, hazardous substances regulation, and spill prevention and response.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring site environmental programs
- Evaluating the applicability of all federal, state and local regulations/codes, guidelines and TI ESH Standards related to assigned ESH programs
- Providing oversight of activities and ensuring that formal procedures and training programs meet or exceed regulatory requirements
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental, safety and health regulations
- Maintaining documentation associated with environmental permits, compliance reports and other regulatory required records
- Reviewing, approving and providing feedback on planned work activities as they relate to environmental, safety and health requirements
- Maintaining and providing timely visibility to metrics associated with assigned programs
- Being visible and known to site occupants, providing ESH technical support and aid with understanding and application of program requirements
- Conducting site walk-through's, periodic inspections and pre-audits of work areas and tasks to ensure effective field application of ESH program requirements
- Teaming with other professionals to strengthen site programs
- Actively participating in local and world-wide teams to continuously grow our successful ESH organization
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety or related field
- 3-5 years' work related experience
- Demonstrated competency in accessing and interpreting ESH regulations

- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Possess strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation and ability to take ownership for issue resolution
