Responsibilities:
• Perform lab-based tissue characterization and morphometric analysis using in-house image analysis tools and methods• Assist in organization of tissue staining data from various research projects (Neuroscience, Immunology and Diabetes complications)• Assist in implementation of new histological technology and analysis approaches• Ensure reliability in quantifying tools used and compliance with standard processes, policies, and procedures; implement continuous improvement activities for assigned projects• Help implement an archival system for all the disease indications material acquired• Assist in writing and editing scientific documents• Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications: • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Neuroscience or related discipline.• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
• Basic introduction to histology and technique employed for disease characterization in neurology and/or other disease indications from school curriculum, theoretical knowledge of experimental study design and basic knowledge of image analysis• MS Office proficiency and database creation
