Summary of Position
Provide business development, senior consulting, and project management leadership as it pertains to natural and cultural resources to include but not limited to environmental assessments and environmental impact studies, NEPA, NHPA, CWA, ESA, and services related to botany, biology, ecology, forestry and rangeland, silviculture, geology, cultural resources, and hydrology. Position requires a client focus, including networking and establishing client relationships, developing project, and strategic planning, staff management and ensuring delivery excellence. Activities includes identifying market changes and anticipating their impacts to the business, supporting/leading proposal preparation and providing client-centric solutions in work performance. Leads technical staff with program and technical oversight to assure quality, safety and meeting goals and objectives of the Natural and Cultural Resources programs.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform overall management of the natural and cultural resource business unit;
- Fulfill the role of Program Manager for Natural Resources programs and contracts;
- Implements and oversees work related to NEPA, CWA, ESA, environmental permitting, assessments, inventories, planning, and related environmental services;
- Develop annual sales and revenue plans;
- Implement plans and accomplish goals including sales, revenue, quality, health and safety, and proposal success;
- Provide technical expertise at project level and assist with growing Sundance's environmental program through development of client relationships and identification of opportunities for expansion of our environmental services;
- Collaborate across the firm to contribute to the strategic direction of Sundance and position the company for new contract opportunities;
- Oversee and implement conservation and sustainability plans for publicly and privately-owned land, including parks, nature preserves, historic sites, mining operations and building construction projects. Work also covers human activities that may benefit, influence, or harm the natural environment;
- Provide technical expertise at project level and assist with growing Sundance's environmental program through development of client relationships and identification of opportunities for expansion of our environmental services;
- Establish sequencing of environmental tasks/projects, from financial management through successful completion of the project, utilizing our technology, standards and project delivery practices;
- Develop priorities, performance standards, goals, and objectives that are consistent with Sundance business plan;
- Manage, coordinate, and oversee multiple natural resource projects concurrently;
- Perform senior review of deliverables;
- Lead proposal preparation and review (technical and cost), coordinate and oversee fieldwork, lead meetings/presentations with clients, serve as Sundance's point of contact for current and future projects, manage projects, assist/lead the preparation of documents;
- Oversee and provide supervision to natural resources staff;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in Biology, Geology, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years' experience.
- Working knowledge of NEPA, CWA, ESA, climate change, wildlife, resources use, water management, fisheries, biodiversity, endangered species, invasive species, agricultural, environmental planning and permitting.
- Proven success in business development, strategic planning, writing proposals, responding to scopes of work.
- Business management acumen in the development and adherence to budgets, and schedules for complex environmental projects with multi-disciplinary teams and multi-agency efforts; marketing clients, preferably within the mining, power, agricultural, and industrial sectors.
- Diverse client experience with commercial, state, local, tribal, federal (DOD & Civilian agencies) entities.
- Broad geographic experience performing natural resources across the united states.
- Passionate about safety and quality.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, strong people skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to satisfactorily pass pre-employment and post-employment drug and alcohol tests.
- Ability to obtain access to federal facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of historic preservation and cultural resources management services.
- Experience with interfacing and performing work with tribal entities.
- Experience with interfacing and performing work with (1) the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; (2) entities of the U.S. Department of Interior and (3) entities of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
- Master's degree or above.
- Experience working in the Pacific islands.
Working Conditions
- Extended periods of time in front of a computer screen in a climate-controlled office.
- Overnight and day travel as needed to support field work.
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
