Seeking a Senior Research Associate, Biology, to assist in programs pursuing new drug candidates in the oncology/cancer area. Key traits include high self-motivation, innovation, and enthusiasm.
The company is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with highly interdisciplinary teams of scientists across cell biology, pharmacology, computational drug methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Cell based culture, primary cells and cell lines.
Creating and following target identification and validation for in vitro and in vivo experimental approaches.
Executing experiments that will validate and bring optimization to novel screening platforms.
Strive for timely execution, minimal errors, while maintaining accurate and complete experimental records.
Follow protocols for lab upkeep, reagent preparation, and supplies inventory.
Learn, follow, and recommend improvements in all quality system and lab safety requirements.
Ability to present results to internal teams and external presentations.
High level of collaboration with teams to advance drug development, intellectual property, and the company.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in the Science field, M.S. is a plus.
Industry experience of 2 years or more.
Assay development and validation skills.
Experience with 3 or more molecular biology techniques including: western blot, qPCR, ELISA Assay, and mammalian cell cultures.
Flow cytometry and cell-based assays experience.
