You as the Head of ESG (Sustainability) will drive the ESG strategy and its execution in a $2 billion global project. We are growing our locations and are investing more than $2 billion into establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest end-to-end cell culture CDMO provider in North America.

The new site will offer end-to-end solutionsto our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US. In addition to drug substance manufacture, it will also provide automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labeling services. The new site will be built within the vicinity of an existing Fujifilm site in the US. The position will ultimately sit in Holly Springs, NC, U.S.A, once the site is able to accommodate.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the build-out of the project's ESG program
  • Drive the execution of the ESG program in the entire projects
  • Collaborate and coordinate across functions in the project
  • Act as subject matter expert on ESG/Sustainability
  • Work in partnership with FDB's local community partners
  • Ensure delivery and implementation of solutions in accordance with the ESG strategy and targets
  • Manage proposed changes to the ESG program/targets and its deliverables
  • Present and align solutions and their impact with senior project team
  • Report on status, e.g. on the set targets, to the senior project team
  • Work with the FUJIFILM organization to ensure alignment between corporate and project ESG strategies


Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following background and skill sets:
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree related to sustainability, environmental science, business or finance preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in the area of ESG/sustainability.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in environmental sustainability with a track record of effectively managing programs in an empowered and changing environment.
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, oral and written communications skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Experience leading and facilitating group process and collaboration
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills required with ability to track, measure and identify improvement solutions
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable, moving and managing projects with differing objectives, milestones and deliverables


Demonstrated ability to deliver results with a strong sense of urgency

FDBU works with technical data, technology and materials that are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations. This position will require access to technical data, technology and source code that is controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 C.F.R. Parts 120 - 130 and Export Administration Regulations in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 - 774, as may be amended.
