AECOM is seeking a Program Manager to join our Minneapolis office and lead Minnesota Department of Transportation(MNDOT) program. Responsibilities will involve supporting projects of various size and scope in field and office setting in contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, and environmental due diligence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead a multi-project, multi-discipline team serving multiple client contacts within a client organization
  • Lead business development activities within the account, including: client interaction to identify project leads, leading capture teams for those leads, and preparing proposals
  • Managing multiple projects and staff
  • Technical report preparation
  • Promote safety in all aspects of the program and projects
  • Oversee project staff who work with subcontractors, enforce safety requirements, and document observations
  • Oversee project staff who are conducting soil logging, monitoring well installation, media sampling, testing, contractor oversight, and water level/groundwater gradient surveys.
  • Travel may be required within Minnesota and potentially including out-of-state short-term overnight stays.
  • Must be able to work outdoors at times to oversee project and staff activities as listed above

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS+ 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience leading a group of environmental scientists, geologist, engineers and/or project managers
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to write/prepare technical documents, and the ability convey thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • 10+ years experience in contaminant investigations, remediation, hydrogeology, and/or environmental sampling.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work proficiently with MS Office products and organize data clearly.
  • Successful candidates will be self-motivated and able to balance work schedule.
  • Knowledge of environmental data collection, investigation, and data entry skills
  • Knowledge of transit-related due diligence and investigation programs
  • Knowledge of Upper-Midwest geology and/or environmental chemistry
  • Knowledge in the operation of environmental field instruments
  • Knowledge of soil and groundwater remedial techniques
  • Knowledge of acquiring and manipulating spatial data and knowledge of GIS data and collection.
  • MDH Certified Asbestos Inspector preferred
  • MDH Certifies Asbestos Site Supervisor preferred
