Kelly Services is seeking a Biology Characterization Lab Technician (Plant Pathology) for our client, an Agricultural company in Indianapolis, IN.
This role is a 1+ year contract, and can be extended long term.
Summary:
The purpose of the Biology Characterization Lab Technician (Plant Pathology) is to provide technical laboratory and greenhouse support, within the plant pathology discipline, to the Biology Characterization Lab group. This role will support all efforts in characterizing molecules, formulated products, and technologies.
Primary responsibilities :
• Work closely with Biology Characterization Lab Scientists in implementing the project plan, with particular focus on the laboratory and greenhouse work needed to complete the required biology data packages
• Provide plant pathology technical expertise
• General activities may include preparing for trials (ordering plants, chemicals, supplies, etc.), setting up trials, applying treatments, assessing trials, recording data, taking down trials at completion, maintaining laboratory and greenhouse space, helping develop protocols, and basic report writing and delivery
• Maintain lab and greenhouse capabilities, supplies, and equipment Ensure all work is done safely and within regulatory and policy guidelines
Requirements:
- BS in Plant Pathology, Biology or similar discipline.
- Experience in agricultural plant pathology research is highly preferred.
