How will you make an impact?
You will be an integral part of the team that develops novel tools for genome engineering and RNA therapeutics. This scientist will support the project focused on lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based RNA delivery in vitro and in vivo . We are looking for an exceptionally responsible, well-organized, and enthusiastic researcher with great work ethic to join our group as a lab manager. You will support the management and day-to-day activity of the group, interact with multiple partners within and outside of the department, and eventually perform experiments. You will work as a valuable member of a highly collaborative team. We need a person who understands the importance of maintaining clean and organized research space, and on time troubleshooting for seamless performance of the team. This position will allow the scientist to get fully introduced to R&D work in large biotech company, learn about state-of-the-art technologies, while performing lab management. You will also have plenty opportunities for growth as you can get involved in different aspects of the research.
What will you do?
- Managing mouse colony and mouse room maintenance
- Maintaining supplies and stocking the lab
- Responsible for instrument maintenance and communication with outside vendors
- Keeping overview of lab procedures and protocols
- Lead organization of lab space
- Interact with senior lab members and the manager to identify issues and ensure smooth running of the lab
- Supporting other lab members in lab work
- Eventually performing experiments independently
- Participate in management and R&D meetings
How will you get there
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bioengineering, or other relevant field/ Master's preferred
- 2+ years' experience of working with mice is a must
- 2+ years' experience of working in academic or biotech lab
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with sterile tissue culture is highly desirable
- Experience with mouse organ isolation is desirable
- Experience with organizing and managing a large lab
