Market Director - Environmental

TRC Companies, Inc., a Company in groundbreaking scientific and engineering developments since the 1960s, is a national engineering consulting firm that provides integrated services to the environmental, power, oil & gas, and infrastructure markets. TRC serves a broad range of clients in government and industry, implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.
TRC is seeking a Market Director to be housed within our southeast geography. The position requires a strong business development, technical, and financial background and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. The position is a full-time position focusing on the Southeast and will report to the Regional Vice President in our Greenville office.

Our Market Directors

Lead team selling of $1.5M+ yearly Net Revenue of environmental compliance, engineering, and remediation services to new and existing clients.
Perform in a 75% Seller/25% Doer business Organizationel
Identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver responsive, high quality services for to the environmental sector (e.g., Institute, water, wastewater, storm water, sustainability, and remediation).
Develop client sales through direct client contact with a goal to capture new and follow-on work, expand TRC service offerings, and support TRC value propositions.
Work with project managers on strategic pursuits, including proposal development and client meetings, and help to maintain strong relationships with key planning leaders within the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic region.
Participate in strategic growth initiatives to expand TRC's client and delivery footprint across the southeast
Review RFQs and assist in preparing proposals.

Requirements

Background and Experience Required
Demonstrated track record in client development in an environmental consulting/ engineering and/or environmental construction management services business Organizationel.
Candidates should have a network of client contacts in the Southeast marketspace and possess strong business development and project/program management skills.
Strong background of working with manufacturing and industrial clients.
Demonstrated success selling and delivering environmental management, health & safety and sustainability and/or investigation and remediation services through a consulting/engineering firm in the Southeast region.
Ability to interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
Bachelor's in engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field of study with a minimum of twenty (20) years of experience
Demonstrated experience in preparing proposals and managing work.
Strong communications skills both written and oral.
Effective in developing and making presentations to potential clients, especially in conference settings.
Staff management or operational experience is a plus.
