We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to aid our internal research efforts. The selected candidate will be part of the Discovery Biology Group evaluating the mechanism of action of our clinical targets including CCR4 inhibition for treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases. Data generated will support ongoing clinical programs and help to establish rationale for indication selection. Data generated will support and establish rationale for indication selection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform in vitro assays and in vivo modeling to evaluate the effect of candidate immunotherapies upon immune function in tumors and inflammatory diseases
  • Isolate cells and establish primary cell culture from murine tissues/organs, human peripheral blood or tumor infiltrating lymphocytes
  • Perform flow cytometry-based phenotypic and functional analyses
  • Analyze data and present results
  • Share knowledge by enthusiastic collaboration with other researchers inside and outside the group

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • B.S. or equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or a related discipline
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in industrial or academic settings
  • Plans research experiments with guidance from others; works independently to perform research experiments
  • Analyzes and interprets scientific data under general supervision
  • Experience with cell and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with Flow Cytometry experiments/data analysis is highly desired
  • Experience with cell culture is highly desired
  • Familiarity with tumor immunology or suppressive immune cell-types is a plus
  • Establishes and maintains an understanding of the current scientific literature relevant to the research experiments or program
  • Maintains laboratory notebook in a complete and consistent manner according to company policies
  • Ability to troubleshoot experimental challenges and deliver high-quality data for time-sensitive objectives
  • Excellent written, , oral communication and organizational skills
  • The candidate should enjoy operating in a dynamic environment where every voice matters.
