WSP is currently initiating a search for a Temporary Environmental Biologist for our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. Duties and Responsibilities: - Support public sector clients with biological resources services - Preparation and oversight of biological resources studies - Collection and analysis of data to support the preparation of planning and/or NEPA studies. - Support a variety of planning/engineering studies related to multimodal transportation and aviation planning including: feasibilities studies, location studies, corridor alternative analysis, wildlife hazard assessments, environmental assessments, and categorical exclusions. - Support the preparation of biological and NEPA documents; and assist with production as necessary - Maintain project files and the production of administrative records. - Manage time and effort effectively on multiple projects - Other duties as assigned Talent is the essence of meeting our client's objectives, goals and challenges. Job Requirements

> Minimum Qualifications: - A minimum of five years' experience; advanced degrees may substitute for one or more year of experience - Demonstrated experience in biological resources studies with emphasis on avian experience - Knowledge of public sector requirements and practices for biological resources studies - Knowledge of principles and practice of research and avian point count data collection - Knowledge of NEPA process and environmental toolkits; demonstrated experience in all levels of NMDOT NEPA documentation including CE, EA and EIS projects - Experience preparing technical reports, and/or NEPA documents - Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail - Ability to work well independently and in a group setting - Ability to travel out of the immediate area and to work outside of regular work hours if needed - Ability to navigate and collect data using Trimble GPS equipment - Strong written and oral communication skills - Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
