Job Description
Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Biology

Job Description: The Biology Department of Manhattan College seeks part-time, adjunct instructors to teach laboratory classes for general/introductory biology courses for majors and/or non-majors and laboratory classes in anatomy and physiology (A&P). Applicants need to be prepared to teach both remotely and in-person.

Reports to: Chair of Biology

Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching freshmen general biology labs and/or anatomy and physiology labs in a combination of in-person classes and to remote students. Training for these venues will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters or Ph.D. (preferred) in biology (or related degree).
  • At least one year of teaching experience.
Candidates with a proven record of excellence in teaching will be preferred.
Physical Requirements: In-person labs require the instructor to set up various materials and equipment for the experiments and activities as demanded by the various topics. Such may be characterized as light lifting and carrying.
