School Description: King Science & Technology Magnet themes of inquiry, technology, and service learning are infused thought the curriculum. Students engage in high level science topics such as biology, zoology, chemistry, and physical science while integrating a variety of technology rich multimedia tools into their lessons. Students study space in the only middle school planetarium in Omaha. Hands-on and community focused service projects are completed throughout the year. The annual school-wide science fair and SET for Life Conference showcases students' abilities through projects that are the result of the integration of science and technology while connecting to community leaders in the areas of science, engineering, and technology. King Science aims to educate future leaders in science and technology.

Work Schedule/FLSA Status: 12 month/261 days, Exempt

Salary Schedule: OSAA Level 9

Position Purpose: The principal is the instructional leader of the school. OPS seeks excellent leaders who can prepare all students for college, career, and community leadership. The Principal Candidate Pool screening process provides opportunities for candidates to demonstrate their proficiency on the OPS Principal Competencies.

In order to be considered for school-specific principal vacancies, individuals must first complete and gain entry to the Principal Candidate Pool.
