Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is seeking an effective candidate to be responsible for supporting the Environmental , Health and Safety Programs for the Orlando Program Office and Largo, FL locations.
The position is based in Largo, FL. This position will require both CONUS and international travel to support the personnel on various programs.
This position works in a matrixed environment , reporting directly to the RI&S EH&S International & Remote Site Manager with accountability to the Largo EH&S Manager.
Job duties include:
- Works collaboratively with the key team members at each site to maintain a safe workplace.
- Provides direction to managers and supervisors in establishing site-specific safety programs, including establishing supporting indicator metrics.
- Responsible to document and implement all applicable EH&S programs in accordance with company policies, OSHA or host country regulations.
- Performs safety incident/accident investigations, to include thorough root cause analysis and correction action implementation, along with database system tracking.
- Ensures compliance through site audits and inspections as desired. Documents findings according to procedures and develops corrective actions.
- Ensures the program sites are prepared for Corporate and OSHA audits, including completing desired documentation and preparation of review packages for auditors.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to peers & stakeholders.

Required Skills :
- 6+ years of experience in environmental, health and safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety and health standards, criteria and guidelines issued by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and other applicable regulators.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effective safety event investigations including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Previous training and briefing experience
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a enthusiastic environment
- Must be willing and able to travel as required
- Ability to apply technical expertise to develop solutions for complex problems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to/with all levels of administration. Keep operations and functional managers up to date on developing issues.
- Person selected must be able to work independently, with minimal direction. Must be able to develop and work with Microsoft office resources, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, Share Point. Other computer tracking instrument knowledge may be needed to support the position.
- US Citizenship is requires as the position will require the ability to access US only data systems
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Skills:
- ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM or other EH&S related certifications
- Experience with OSHA VPP administration and certification
- Previous experience working in a military environment

- Bachelor's Degree Sciences, Environmental, Health and Safety, Chemistry, Biology, Industrial/Safety, Engineering or related technical field
Desired Education :
- Master's Degree Sciences, Environmental, Health and Safety, Chemistry, Biology, Industrial/Safety, Engineering or related technical field
