Job Title: Biologist III

Location: Lake County, Illinois USA

Duration: 8-12+ months

This position in NonExempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half. Bachelor's Degree in science (preferrably Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry). Focus in a discipline 2+ years experience. Good Computer Skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

 Experimental procedures: Conducts experiments, accomplishes established milestones and summarizes data.

 Accepts and completes all management-directed work assignments

 Recommends options for future experiments.

 Presents data within team.

 Quality: Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

 Expertise and Problem Solving: Recognizes and resolves technical problems. Identifies technical alternatives.

 Lab Safety: Participates in lab safety.

 Documentation: Appropriately documents experimental procedures and results according to established guidelines.

EDUCATION

Required

 B.S./M.S. in Life or Physical Science (preferred Chemistry or Biology)

 Basic Computer Skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint

 Some knowledge of multiple analytical instruments. (Examples: UV-Vis, Particle Sizing, Flow-ctyometry, SEM, and DLS)
