AECOM has a position available for an Environmental Scientist in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
  • Assisting in the project planning, fieldwork/execution, and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects, including preliminary assessments, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, site/remedial investigations, environmental monitoring/sampling, and NPDES wastewater sampling and DMR preparation.
  • Assist Project Managers with preparation of technical reports
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control of project documents with a focus on compliance with client and regulatory agency procedures, policies and regulations.

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience should include one or more of the following:
  • field-sampling procedures (groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging, etc.),
  • soil boring/monitoring well installations,
  • analytical data interpretation and reporting.
  • This is a field / office (60% / 40%). Field work requires willingness to work in inclement weather conditions, be comfortable in uneven, wooded or construction site settings and carrying equipment to/from the site locations
  • Pre-employment motor vehicle driving record verification will be conducted
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Science related field is preferred
  • Some field experience with ground and soil sampling desired.
