We are in search of an Environmental Engineer to assist in leading environmental compliance efforts at our Warrick Operations in Newburgh, IN. Your critical thinking skill and working knowledge of regulations will be used to drive continuous improvement of environmental programs across the plant. By supporting improvement initiatives, you will ensure facility-wide compliance and minimize the environmental risks of our operations. We are seeking individuals who want to use their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact at our site!

Responsibilities:
  • Process manager for the wastewater treatment plants and obtain wastewater license through the state of Indiana
  • Oversee the storm water pollution prevention plan, audit facility for compliance with the plan, ensure that training is complete throughout the facility
  • Assist with NPDES issues including root cause investigation of water-related issues, compliance with all terms of the permit and assist production areas with achieving needed changes to ensure compliance.
  • Act as the emergency response coordinator and assist in spill plan updates, spill cleanups, reporting, root cause investigations and remediation
  • Collection of water samples
  • Monitor operation of automatic wastewater samplers
  • Review waster water analysis and prepare discharge monitoring reports
  • Interface with onsite Laboratory


About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or environmental sciences degree
  • 2 years' experience in environmental regulations and impacts


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of NPDES permit and quality system
  • 2 years' experience in wastewater treatment plant operation
  • Knowledge of SARA reporting
  • Knowledge of Greenhouse Gas reporting
  • Potable water sampling and reporting
  • Laboratory analysis
