Job Goal: The Grade School Counselor/Success Coach shall work to improve and support student behavior and socio-emotional well-being for all population subgroups within the school.

This position is full-time (190 day contract). Based on the 2020-21 collective bargaining agreement, the District offers a $500 multiple qualified bonus per endorsement above two endorsements, $1,350 per month insurance benefit, and the District pays the employee portion of the PERS contribution. District accepts up to 7 years teaching experience. Salary listed is also based on the 2020-21 agreement.

Monroe, Oregon is a community of 680 with approximately 2,500 people in the surrounding area. The school is a hub in an area of agriculture including forestry, the wine industry, grass seed, mint, Christmas trees and vegetable seed crops. We also have a number of residents who commute to Corvallis and Eugene. The city of Monroe is nestled against the first foothills of the Coast Range mountains, facing the Willamette Valley. Highway 99 West connects Monroe to the city of Corvallis, (home of Oregon State University) 17 miles to the north, and the city of Eugene (home of University of Oregon) 23 miles to the south. The Oregon Coast is about 1½ hours to the west while Portland is less than 2 hours to the north. Bend and Central Oregon are also less than 2 hours to the east. Monroe is in an ideal location for access to all the beauty that is Oregon. A rural setting with a progressive school district.
