Our Southeast Environmental business is growing! Our office in Atlanta, GA (specifically Duluth) is looking for an Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line by supporting projects involving contaminated site assessments, remediation efforts, environmental compliance, and natural resources.

Specific responsibilities in this role will include:
  • Planning and implementation of environmental field work such as sample/data collection, monitoring well installation, groundwater monitoring, remediation system operation & maintenance, remedial action activities, and oversight of contractors and field staff
  • Completing assigned field data collection and documentation for environmental sampling and data collection efforts
  • Prepare routine correspondence and peer reviewed reports such as data reports, standardized documents and work plans that include data compilation, reduction, interpretation, evaluation/comparison to environmental regulatory standards
  • Assisting with the development of environmental project health and safety documents, environmental reports, permit applications, client proposals, vendor safety approvals, purchase orders, budget estimates, and invoicing
  • Assist environmental-related emergency response field efforts in the southeast region

For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field
  • 0-4 years of experience working on contaminated site assessment and remediation projects
  • Experience working on environmental projects within the Federal market is highly desired
  • Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Ability work in a fast paced environment
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout GA, AL, SC, and NC to undertake field work is required (estimate 50-75% of the time), potentially on short notice and potentially for up to several weeks at a time
