Overview
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist based at our Lancaster Headquarters will assist the Corporate EHS team in support of global operations. The support will be in the form of identifying impacts of business changes to EHS, identification of successful business tools and applications, tracking and measuring success to promote value added services to the organization. The ideal candidate will be based out of the central Pennsylvania area, but we are also open to a remote candidate that would be willing to travel as necessary for the role.

Overview
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist based at our Lancaster Headquarters will assist the Corporate EHS team in support of global operations. The support will be in the form of identifying impacts of business changes to EHS, identification of successful business tools and applications, tracking and measuring success to promote value added services to the organization. The ideal candidate will be based out of the central Pennsylvania area, but we are also open to a remote candidate that would be willing to travel as necessary for the role.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist site management in executing Environmental, Health & Safety priorities, metrics, goals and requirements
- Provide EHS technical guidance and support to site management to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements
- Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations and internal policy/protocol
- Support the communication and involvement to develop continuous improvement plans for EHS performance and programs
- Provide support for training programs to build EHS technical, management and leadership skills of site leadership team and employees
- Environmental compliance (policy development, tools, auditing and training)
- Support Industrial Hygiene projects - scheduling and tracking
- Sustainability Program support - EHS KPIs and Zero Net Waste initiatives
- Graham Operating System (GOS) - Tracking, KPIs and Follow up support
- Performs other duties and cross training as assigned
- Performs all job duties in a safe manner and in compliance with safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited higher learning institution in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental or other related technical or scientific discipline
- Experience in supporting Environmental, Health and Safety programs
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with computer systems, internet, email and Microsoft applications
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be highly organized and demonstrate excellent judgment, decision and discretion abilities
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to travel as necessary
- GSP/ASP/CSP/CIH accreditation strongly preferred
