Senior Chemist, Microbiology Role:
The Senior Chemist performs analytical testing using approved methods, procedures, corporate policies, and current industry standards.
Analyzing and evaluating material and products under stringent quality and time requirements
Create, review and revised standard operating procedure for internal compliance
Review of data / audit trail for technical content and regulatory compliance
Ensuring analytical equipment is maintained in good working order that includes maintenance, troubleshooting and performing repairs as needed
Anticipating additional resources, consumable, and equipment requirements as needed to ensure that work can be completed within the budgeted time
Practice good documentation; participate in the execution of protocol, validations, and method transfer
Participate in investigations of OOS results and other related studies
Interpret Microbiology data and familiar with microbiology related analysis

Senior Chemist, Microbiology Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or pharmaceutical science is required.
Master's degree is preferred.
2+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control Lab or R&D environment.
Must have Instrument metrology - Instrumentation skills
Must have experience with HPLC calibration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
Bonus if familiar with Shimadzu and dionex/thermo HPLC
Chromeleon software
Microbiology experience is a plus
Must possess strong knowledge of cGMP, safety, and USP methodologies.
Must have experience with various instruments used in the QC laboratory such as: HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, dissolution apparatus, UV/Vis spectrophotometer, FT-IR, balances, pH meter, Karl Fischer, disintegration apparatus, etc.
Proficient in MS Office Suite
