Job Responsibilities:
  • Obtain samples from production areas and conduct general food microbiology, environmental
  • Assist to process samples from receipt through testing, including all associated documentation and record keeping including data entry
  • Interpret and record results for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Assis to perform various lab tasks, including sample preparation, handling or dilution
  • Assist with non-routine physical analysis tasks, experiments and product development related support as needed
  • Communicate testing results with the quality department or other departments as needed
  • Adhere to and models good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good laboratory practices (GLP) at all times
  • Maintain clear and organized work environment as all times
  • Other with other duties as required by the supervisor

Skills/Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree is food science, chemistry, biological science or related field is required
  • 1-2 years of experience in food analysis, laboratory and basic knowledge of microbiology
  • Prior QA/QC experience in food manufacturing a plus
  • Proficient in MS office; Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be capable of demonstration physical demands of typical laboratory
  • Good listening and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must be comfortable and able to work with all types of ingredients related tofu
