We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our team in Lincoln, NE. This is a part-time benefited role which will average about 30- 40 hours a week during normal business hours, working 5 days a week.

The bioanalytical scientist is a lab-based research position responsible for the development of innovative methods for the measurement of biologics, proteins in human serum/ plasma to support pharmacokinetic, immunogenicity and biomarker studies. Self-motivation, a good work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to work independently are essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for developing and qualifying highly sensitive, reliable molecular and cell biology methodologies
  • Performs assays such as mircoRNA, qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISPOT etc…
  • Ability to work on projects of diverse scope that require non-routine analysis and evaluation of scientific data
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient manner
  • Interacts with validation and production teams to provide efficient transfer of analytical methods and reagents post development
  • Responsible for troubleshooting assays, as needed
  • Responsible for applying design of experiments (DOE) and other systematic and statistical approaches to method development
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate professionally;


Qualifications:
  • Ph.D or M.S in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Biology is preferred
  • BS/BA in Immunology/Molecular Biology/Biology or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills required
  • Knowledge/Experience with flow cytometry, PCR, and ELISPOT is preferred
  • Ability to work an occasional weekend, as needed
