  • Must have experience working on a safety team. Will review safety documents, SOPs, and inspection sheets. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to identify gaps on documents. Will work closely with the safety committee to streamline processes.

Job Description
  • This role will report to the EHS Specialist in the activities listed below. This position will involve collaborating with the EHS Specialist, Safety Committee and Risk Assessment Team members to identify risks, determine corrective actions and update forms and inventory lists. The EHS Specialist will provide guidance as needed.
  • Essential Functions:
    • Assist with revising the safety inspection program to streamline the process and ensure that site procedures align with corporate requirements. Work with the Safety Committee to update monthly inspection questions and edit the current inspection sheets accordingly.
    • Work with the EHS Specialist and Site Sponsor to address, investigate and determine corrective actions for safety concerns and injuries and track them to completion.
    • Work with the Risk Assessment Team and subject matter experts to conduct and update safety risk assessments and suggest corrective actions.
    • Upload new Safety Data Sheets into the electronic program, 3Eonline, as needed.
    • Create a chemical inventory for the laboratory and ensure that chemical approval forms have been submitted for all hazardous chemicals.
    • Update the Contractor Management Program by reviewing the contractor inventory list to identify missing credentialing paperwork.

    III. Position Requirements:

    Education or Equivalent:
    • One year of work experience in EHS and a Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Sciences or two years of work experience in EHS, Facilities or related field.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
