What You Will Be Doing -Assemble, annotate and characterize novel genomes using various sequencing technologies
-Develop novel computational methods and use existing methods to analyze data from mammalian cells with varying genetic backgrounds to assist in design and assessment of gene-editing experiments
-Analyze long- and short- read sequencing data from various technologies to create novel genome reference sequences
What You Need for this Position -MS/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics or related field
-5+ years of industry experience in a comp bio or informatics related role
-Strong genetics and genomics knowledge
-Experience with DNA sequencing technologies (short- and long-read sequencing, Illumina, Nanopore, PacBio)
-Familiarity with the analysis SNP arrays, WGS and WES
-Experience in the development and application of statistical/machine learning methods (huge plus!!)
-Experience with Python and R programming, and bioinformatics pipeline development
