About DCSA-Environment

With world class technical expertise, leading edge technology and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM's global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals. AECOM delivers professional services throughout the project lifecycle for clients in both the private and public sector. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients manage and protect natural and cultural resources, and cost effectively navigate local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and evaluate potential project-related impacts.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Interpret and record data, conduct research and analyses.
  • Contribute to environmental documents and compliance processes.
  • Provide appropriate support to AECOM multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assisting in developing solutions for tasks which may include: comprehensive planning and elements such as environmental impact assessment, environmental permitting, resource agency consultation and coordination, land use, transportation, capital improvements, infrastructure, and housing, among others.
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.

Minimum Requirements
  • Currently in pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree (or recent graduate) in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Natural Resource Management, or other related field.
  • Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly motivated and accountable.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing, research, analytic, and/or graphic skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental and permitting processes and regulatory requirements (e.g. CEQA, NEPA, and other relevant regulatory guidelines).

Additional Information:
  • Preferred location is in San Diego but open to remote work location.
