Cadmus seeks a highly motivated entry-level financial analyst to provide financial and statistical analysis support to contracts with EPA and other government clients in the areas of drinking water, water quality, and climate science/policy. In addition, the position would be expected to provide other general support to these contracts. Successful candidates will have a professional demeanor and will have distinguished themselves with academic and professional excellence and a clearly demonstrated work ethic. They should be highly motivated to perform and learn, able to work collaboratively and independently, detail-oriented, comfortable speaking in public, and able to manage assigned tasks and projects from start to finish with input from supervisors. Candidates should also possess exceptional research, oral and written communication, and analytical skills, enabling them to support Cadmus' mission to successfully meet clients' needs.   • Provide project support:
  • Ensuring client satisfaction across multiple projects in a program.
  • Facilitating information sharing and planning across projects and teams.
  • Supporting the efforts of multiple project managers.
  • Providing strategic thinking in support of client initiatives.
Provide policy or financial analysis on issues related to water, wastewater, or storm-water utility financing and sustainability.Conduct data analyses, literature searches and reviews on technical topics to support policy initiatives and assess the impacts of policy decisions.Write or edit guidance documents, reports, case studies, presentations, and other documents.Provide logistical and administrative support for Cadmus project teams.

Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in environmental management, public policy, statistics, finance, economics, or related field. Coursework in finance or accounting highly desired.
  • Understanding of how to apply statistical, financial, and economic methods to data to answer policy questions.
  • Ability to conduct research, collect secondary data, and analyze data in support of data-driven analyses.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience using Stata, SAS, R, or other statistical software to clean and analyze data sets.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Some domestic travel may be required post-COVID.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience or coursework in conducting environmental policy analyses.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of public financing and common financing instruments such as loans, municipal bonds, green bonds, tax-exempt bonds.
  • Applied experience with research activities in an academic or professional setting.
  • Experience public speaking.
