job summary:
*URGENT NEED for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Person should have thorough knowledge of OSHA and know how to implement VPP Merit Programs .

responsibilities:
- Individual will oversee responsibilities pertaining to facility and personnel safety at the client.
- This includes three sites throughout Pennsylvania which will require significant travel.
- Individual will also handle regulatory affairs and audits for all sites.
- This will include Tier II reporting, biennial waste reporting, and OSHA compliance.
- The candidate will conduct all new employee training as well as annual refresher training.
- Candidate will coordinate all accident investigations and work jointly with Human Resources in completing needed paperwork to submit accident claims.
- Job responsibility includes generation of safety data sheets as well as strong computer skills.
- Working knowledge of the Global Harmonized System is required.
- Individual will perform (PHA) Process Hazard analysis/evaluation on all client Processes.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out safety committee meetings at client locations.
- The individual will conduct quarterly fire drills at client locations.
qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related science in addition to 6-8+ years of experience in the field.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of Chemical Hygiene Standards and Industrial Practices.
- Must be well versed with ANSI, NIOSH and OSHA Standards.
