FACULTY POSITION IN RADIATION BIOLOGY at FOX CHASE CANCER CENTER
The Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in the Radiation Oncology Department. While outstanding candidates working in all areas of radiobiology are invited to apply, we particularly encourage applications from candidates with interests in one or more of the following areas: (1) DNA damage response and repair; (2) time, dose, and fractionation; (3) immune responses to radiation in cancer patients; (4) genetic predisposition to radioresistance/radiosensitivity. The successful applicant will join a highly interactive group of laboratory-based researchers and clinical investigators who are part of one of four cancer-focused research programs in the outstanding basic and translational science community at Fox Chase. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, and an outstanding record of research productivity.
Fox Chase was among the nation's first institutions to receive Comprehensive Cancer Center designation from the NCI in 1974, and its 113 research faculty bring in a total of $50.8 Million in research funding. The Center provides care for over 111,500 outpatient visits each year, supported by 170 clinical trials, of which 28 are investigator-initiated. Two particular highlights of the Center are the superb clinical trials pipeline that allows the rapid translation of basic science discoveries into the clinic, and world-class core facilities. The application should include a curriculum vitae, a brief (two-page) statement of research interests and future goals, and a list of three individuals who can provide letters of recommendation.
Applications should be sent to: Joshua Meyer, MD, Vice Chairman of Translational Research; Email - Joshua.meyer@fccc.edu
