About The Opportunity:

In this key position, you will coordinate a wide variety of environmental projects and programs for the municipality and lead the interpretation of environmental legislation and regulations assisting the City to achieve compliance. You will also play a lead role in environmental initiatives by providing technical direction, education and training to employees engaged in environmental work as well as coordinating public outreach programs. Providing technical analysis related to land use applications rounds out this dynamic role.

About Your Background:

With your commitment to environmental responsibility, you bring to this role a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, complemented by at least seven years of directly related experience in environmental assessment and management. You have one of the following designations/memberships: RPBio in the College of Applied Biologists, ECO Canada, CSAP or PAg and demonstrate considerable knowledge of the environment, including air and watercourse issues. Your excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills will assist you to succeed in this exciting opportunity! A valid, full privilege Class 5 BC Driver's License (or out of province equivalent) is required.
