Microbiology Supervisor

Job Description
Certified Laboratories, Inc. has a rewarding new opportunity for a detailed, organized, and results driven Microbiology Supervisor, who can strategically manage the daily activities of the Microbiology department. You will supervise the team and interact with clients, suppliers, and vendors. This role will be actively involved with various analytical tests, accurate and timely completion of special project, and accountable for the execution of all ISO and QC requirements.

Essential Functions:

• In a team oriented environment, supervise the Microbiology staff to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and reliability of results.
• Performs various complex analytical procedures and tests.
• Responsible for the effective and continuous development and training of laboratory personnel.
• Review, approve and validate results.
• Responsible for FDA paperwork.
• Working knowledge of BAM, FDA, USDA, and APHA testing procedures.
• Work effectively with internal and external clients.
• Identify methods to use based upon samples received to properly schedule work.
• Responsible for the execution of all ISO and QC requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS degree in Microbiology or Biological Sciences.
• Five years industrial experience with three years in a Microbiology Laboratory.
• Must have three years supervisory experience and solid technical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective problem solving, trouble shooting, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work swing shift, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
